Brainstorm Exercise: zo gezegd, zo gedaan

For the course Creative Thinking, we were given the assignment to create an advertisement that links a proverb with a brand. I chose the proverb “in de pen klimmen” (which means “to start writing” or literally “to climb into the pen”) and the brand The New York Times. We also had to select a suitable visual, which led me to this result. The original image was horizontal, but using AI in Photoshop, I was able to extend it. This was the first assignment where I used this AI tool, and I’m happy with the result.

Affiche Napoleon

For the course English, I created this advertisement for the brand Napoleon. The assignment was to take an existing advertisement and make your own version of it. I turned an Instagram post into a poster. This is the final result I came up with.

BelOrta Campagne

For the course Inspiration Lab, one of the clients was BelOrta. For this assignment, we had to create a poster and a social media post. I worked on this together with Milly Bramley and Marieke Meersschaert.

Album Cover

For the course Visual Design, we had to design an album cover. I worked on this assignment together with Milly Bramley. I drew the fish and combined all the elements. No Photoshop was used on the fish itself. We cut out the eyes and placed them along with the plastic bag on the fish, then I photographed it and continued working on it digitally.

Affiche en flyer van ‘Het verhaal van de tijger’

This poster wasn’t made for a school assignment. Marieke Meersschaert’s father asked her to design a poster and flyer for his theater production. Marieke asked me to help her we created it together. She drew the tiger, and I mainly worked on the rest in Photoshop.
